Infectious disease clinical practices

We offer three convenient full service infectious disease clinical practices located in Hazleton, PA, Tunkhannock, PA, and Wilkes-Barre, PA. Each clinic is staffed by a Board Certified – Infectious Disease Physician, a registered nurse, a phlebotomist, and other medical professionals. In partnership with Quest Diagnostics, we have an onsite laboratory at each location for the completion of routine bloodwork to reduce the need for offsite testing.

We accept most major insurances and for the uninsured, we can work with you to obtain insurance or other patient assistance programs.

Please note – a person does not have to be enrolled in our Ryan White services to be seen in one of our infectious disease clinical practice.

HIV Prevention and PrEP

PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis) can reduce your chance of getting HIV from sex or injection drug use. When taken as prescribed, PrEP is highly effective for preventing HIV. Prep is either a once-daily medication or bi-monthly injection. The best method for PrEP will be determined between the medical provider and patient.

PrEP requires a medical visit every three months with required laboratory testing in order to make sure that there are no interactions with the medication.

Wyoming Valley AIDS Council is a PrEP provider. Call to schedule an appointment today.

PrEP is FREE for most patients with or without insurance.

We offer the following services as part of our prevention efforts:

  • FREE condom distribution to any member of the community
  • FREE On Site training to community partners, agencies, educational institutions regarding HIV and STI transmission and prevention.
  • FREE treatment for STI’s and PrEP

We want to get everyone the help they need.
